How to Repair Armor in Valheim

Valheim Server Hosting

Keep your armor in good repair

As you make your way through your second life in Valheim, the equipment you’ve come to depend on will slowly begin to break down. Every lucky swing from an enemy will degrade your armor slightly, and depending on your armor’s durability, it may fall to bits entirely.

Bosses, in particular, have an uncanny ability to destroy your gear. Yagluth especially likes to blast you with a mouth laser that will leave you finishing the fight in your underwear. You can upgrade your equipment at a workbench, but that doesn’t always improve its durability. And even max durability gear breaks down after long fights.

So what can you do when your fancy clothes are in tatters?

Repairing armor in Valheim

Fortunately, repairing your armor in Valheim is a cinch. Take the armor to whichever workbench type you use to craft the same piece of armor.

It doesn’t take any resources to repair equipment. Just take the broken or damaged piece to the suitable workbench.

Ensure the workbench has a roof overhead and at least one wall in close contact with it. An uncovered or exposed workbench won’t work for crafting or repairing equipment.

Having opened the workbench menu, you should see a small hammer on the left of the interface. Clicking that hammer will upgrade your equipment from left to right in your inventory. Click it a few times to repair each piece.

Once you stop hearing the repair noise, it’s all done. You can click it as fast as you like, so get into the habit of swinging by a workbench to repair your armor each time you come back to base.
