RUST Santa Sleigh Command and Variables

The RUST Santa Sleigh Command and Variables

Introduced on December 13, 2018, as part of the Season’s Beatings Update, the RUST Santa Sleigh Command and variables allow server admins to manually trigger the Santa sleigh event. If the server’s Xmas event is enabled, it will automatically trigger at random intervals.

When the Santa sleigh command is used, Santa’s sleigh and his reindeer will soon appear on the edge of the game map, from a random location. The sleigh will soon fly from its location, ultimately dropping a giant gold present with glowing stars that fade into the air, directly to the admin’s location. The present will drift very slowly to the ground and it can be seen at night time, due to the glowing stars. The giant gold presents operate in a nearly identical manner to the standard Airdrops.

RUST Santa Present

As players run up to the giant gold presents, they will hear a distinct chiming sound. Each present is loaded with goodies and players won’t be disappointed.

Santa himself is a red-suited scientist wearing a Santa hat. His sleigh is lead by 8 stags setup to be his reindeer. They can be heard by players when he passes by, within 1-2 grid spaces. A constant audio stream of sleigh bells and “Ho Ho Hos” will be heard, giving players an indication to look for the dropping present. Santa’s sleigh itself is trailed by a path of glowing yellow stars.

Special thanks out to our friend Whiskers for digging into this event’s details!

A few practical reasons for using the RUST Xmas command:

  • The RUST Santa Sleigh command adds seasonal holiday spirit to the game server.
  • Enables extra special drops with big loot payouts.
  • Run the RUST Santa Sleigh event to refill players stockings and spread cheer.
  • Great way to get players outside of their bases with the chance of a large reward.
  • Admins can advertise a unique aspect of their RUST server and control the events.

Who can enter the RUST Santa Sleigh command

The RUST Santa Sleigh command and variables can be issued and configured on vanilla RUST servers by RUST admins and moderators only.  Players on vanilla RUST servers cannot use the RUST Santa Sleigh command and variables. Regular players will need to be on a server that has the Xmas event enabled to partake in the event.
