Wood Double Door

The Wood Double Door is one of RUST’s most common doorway components and is craftable by players by default.

With 200 hit points, the door will take 1 Satchel Charge and 1 Beancan Grenade or 19 Explosive 5.56 Rifle Ammo to break down. Both versions of the wood door are poor options for base security due to their low hit points and susceptibility to fire damage from Flame Throwers.

The wood double door occupies a larger double doorway frame opening, unlike the smaller Wooden Door of similar name and durability. This double door can be used as a temporary placeholder in starter base builds until the resources to craft metal double doors are available or until garage doors or armored double doors are researched. It’s better to have something in the door frames than nothing.

While the wood double door is pretty resistant to melee damage, it’s important to note that the door is only as strong as its door frame and only defensive if paired with a Key or Code Lock. Be sure to upgrade all door frames to the highest grade possible when placing doors.
