Wheat

Wheat is an edible item in RUST most commonly found along river beds along with Corn and Pumpkins or grown and traded by players.

With the introduction of Farming, two types of Wheat are available to be picked, with a subtle difference separating them. Natural Wheat will not have genetic information detailed when a player approaches, whereas planted Wheat will. Natural Wheat will also lack a clearable stalk after picking, whereas the planted Wheat stalk will remain for clearing, yielding Plant Fiber.

Wheat will restore 75 calories and 10 hydration when consumed and heal the player by six health points. When eaten, both natural and planted Wheat will yield Wheat Seeds. Planted Wheat also has the option (once reaching a specific growth step) to be replicated via Wheat Clones.

Wheat is a primary component in the Cooking Workbench, which converts other reagents into more usable items. It is necessary when crafting any Pie, along with Bread Loaves, sure to be expanded upon in the future.
