Wallpaper
Wallpaper is a decorative base element added to RUST in the September 2024 Update. It is a wall covering players can apply to the soft and hard sides of certain building blocks. However, there is an exception for applying Wallpaper to hard sides; they must be inside your base and closed off. Otherwise, the next decay tick will remove any exposed hard-side wallpaper. Wallpapers add a colorful alternative to the bleak interior that players are otherwise subjected to in RUST.
Wallpaper costs 10 Cloth to craft and is a default blueprint. All players gain access to the four default vintage styles, and players who purchase the Wallpaper Starter Pack DLC will unlock 22 more varieties.
Decorate your base for the Lunar New Year with seven ornate wallpapers added to the Lunar New Year Wallpaper Pack, available in the Limited-Time item store.
On average, it takes very little to destroy deployed Wallpaper—up to 3 standard 5.56 rifle rounds should do the job. If you have building privileges, you can pick up Wallpaper using a Hammer and alter it in place (once deployed) with a Spray Can.
