Torch Holder
The Torch Holder is a craftable and deployable decoration in RUST that players can mount on their base walls to hold various torch types. The primary function of this item is as a reusable receptacle for any torch type to burn safely within a base or wherever the placing player has building privilege.
How to get a Torch Holder
The Torch Holder is a DLC-exclusive blueprint that is available only to those who purchase the Base Decor Pack: Frontier from the RUST Item Store. It will appear in your crafting list after purchasing it.
- It doesn’t appear on the tech tree and cannot be researched
- It doesn’t drop from crates or NPCs as loot
- It does not require a workbench to craft
How to use Torch Holders
After crafting a Torch Holder, players can deploy them on wall structures in buildings with building privileges.
As a byproduct of this open storage racking method, locks may not be placed to safeguard your utilized torch. Still, building privilege should disable non-authed players from removing the item otherwise.
Hovering your mouse cursor over the Torch Holder and pressing the E key when “Open” appears will result in a small loot container box appearing on the screen. Players can drag their desired lighting implement to the open slot, which will immediately display. Afterward, they may hold the E key to ignite or remove/replace the previously inserted torch.
Torch Holder inputs
At current, the following tools may be inserted into the holder:
The Torch Holder does not impact the maximum duration for which its inserted torch can burn. Once the torch is lit, it will burn as long as it would if held in a player’s hand before breaking and dissolving into nothing. Each torch inserted is a physical representation of the original item, burning the same way.
