Storage Barrel Vertical
The Storage Barrel Vertical is a craftable and deployable storage container in RUST, primarily used for holding resources, components, and other various items. Role-players will likely use the wooden barrel’s old-fashioned appearance in their base designs.
This item will most assuredly be proclaimed “Pay to Win,” given that you can place more of them in a space similar to that of a Large Wood Box, giving you more overall storage. They do have the drawback, however, of not being able to be locked like standard containers.
How to get a Storage Barrel Vertical
The Storage Barrel Vertical is a DLC-exclusive blueprint that is available only to those who purchase the Base Decor Pack: Frontier from the RUST Item Store. It will appear in your crafting list after purchasing it.
- It doesn’t appear on the tech tree
- It doesn’t drop from crates or NPCs as loot
- It does not require a workbench to craft
How to use a Storage Barrel Vertical
Regarding placement, the Storage Barrel Vertical functions the same as any other container in RUST. After obtaining the item, add it to your hotbar and select the item so that it is active. The blue or red pre-placement indicators will appear, showing you when the item can or cannot be placed.
Players can access and cleanly fit 5 of these barrels if arranged properly onto a single foundation, with 3 additional barrels being added above them using the triangle floor technique. For those wishing to stack these barrels, they are placeable on both player-crafted floor-shelving or Salvaged Shelves. This contrasts with the default Large Wood Boxes, which can only fit 4 on a single foundation when perfectly placed.
Lastly, it’s important to note they cannot be locked with either a Code Lock or Key Lock, giving them a significant disadvantage.
Industrial Interface
Each Storage Barrel Vertical can have up to 4 Storage Adapters added at a time for use with the Industrial System, similar to the Large Wood Box.
