Salvaged Shelves
RUST Salvaged Shelves are a loot storage solution in RUST, used primarily in bases to stack boxes on top of each other without using a more permanent shelving alternative.
Functionally, there is enough for optimistically 4 Large Wood Boxes on a single salvaged shelf. The shelf itself is what you’d typically see at a hardware store to demonstrate heavier, bulkier items.
Their appearance is that of a cheap aluminum-type metal, and they fit snuggly onto a single square foundation with a full wall to the roof as clearance. If properly done, players may cleanly fix up to 2 of these shelf types into a single foundation square.
One considerable drawback of this shelving type exists for players that like to lock their boxes. Locked boxes placed on this shelf all immediately break if the shelf is destroyed.
Players may acquire salvaged shelves early game from very low tier crates and barrels or from both dweller scientist types. Additionally, they may be purchased from Bandit Camp at the cost of 25 Scrap each or researched via the tier 1 workbench tech tree.
