Rose Seed

RUST Rose Seeds are used to grow Rose Plants, from which players can harvest clones, along with a Rose item currently used for decoration or fishing. Rose Plants are found across the map in temperate biomes or player-made farms.

Facepunch made notable improvements to the seed system, clones, and farmable berries in the Mixing Table Update on August 6, 2020, with the most recent addition in March 2025.

Rose Seeds are created by picking a natural Rose Plant. They are identical to Rose Clones in every way (except for their lack of genetics) and can be grown in the ground, in Large Planter Boxes, or Small Planter Boxes. Better genetics result in better yield, which will provide more Roses when harvested.
