RF Transmitter

The RF Transmitter is a handheld device in RUST that players can use to transmit an RF signal at a designated frequency. It is manually set to a numerical representation designated by the player.

The RF Transmitter has a very specific purpose; to project a constant frequency at a certain signal so that other electrical devices can pick it up while the player holds and uses it. This can be used for various reasons covered in our assorted electrical guides.

RF Transmitters are found in various mid-to-high-tier crates and dropped from many NPC scientist types. Players may learn them directly or through a Scrap investment into the tier 2 workbench tech tree and may be purchased directly from Outpost for 75 Scrap.
