Orchid Seed

RUST Orchid Seeds are used to grow Orchid plants, which players can harvest the clones from, along with an Orchid item currently used for decoration or fishing. Orchid plants are found across the map in temperate biomes or in player-made farms.

Facepunch made notable improvements to the seed system, clones, and farmable berries in the Mixing Table Update on August 6, 2020, with the most recent addition in March 2025.

An Orchid Seed is created through the picking of a natural Orchid plant. Orchid Seeds are identical to Orchid Clones in every way (except not having genetics) and can be grown in the ground, in Large Planter Boxes, or Small Planter Boxes. Better genetics result in better yield, which will provide more Orchids when harvested.
