The RUST Metal Vertical Embrasure is a metal plate that can be affixed over a window frame opening, allowing players to see or shoot in and out of it while prohibiting anyone from using it as an access point. It can be picked up with a Hammer at the cost of half of its default durability.

The primary utility of the Metal Vertical Embrasure in RUST is to limit incoming damage from far away sources while maximizing base owner height advantage from a sniper-like perch. The Metal Vertical Embrasure is the premier window cover of choice for un-lootable loot room coverings, heli towers, and electrical room access due to its ability to see up and down instead of side to side.

Metal Vertical Embrasures are found in an assortment of mid-to-higher tier crates and dropped from NPC scientists. They add upkeep costs to bases that use them and will remain in place without decay so long as they are under the effect of a Tool Cupboard.
