Lunar New Year Horse Armor
Overview
The Lunar New Year Horse Armor is a full-body horse armor skin introduced during RUST’s Lunar New Year 2026 event. Functionally, it is a cosmetic variant of the Roadsign Horse Armor, providing identical protection values and mechanics while featuring a festive Lunar New Year–themed appearance.
This armor can be equipped on any ridable horse and offers significant defensive benefits to both the mount and the rider. While highly effective at reducing incoming damage, especially from gunfire, it comes with the same trade-offs as its base variant, most notably a reduction in overall movement speed.

Strategic Value
The Lunar New Year Horse Armor excels in high-risk situations:
- Mounted PvP – Increases rider survivability during gunfights.
- Supply Runs – Protects both rider and horse when transporting loot through contested areas.
- Escort & Patrol Use – Ideal for group play where speed is less critical than protection.
- Cosmetic Prestige – Seasonal appearance makes it visually distinct from standard horse armor.
