Hazmat Plushy
The Hazmat Plushy is an adorable, comfort-granting item in RUST that players can get by purchasing the associated hazmat scientist Youtooz Plush during the promotional period and redeeming a code for this in-game item. Once claimed, players may craft it any time without needing a workbench for a small amount of Cloth.
Precisely like the seasonal item, the Pookie Bear, the Hazmat Plushy provides a 70% comfort aura to its surrounding area. This is especially important early game or when living in areas where food or healing supplies are in shorter supply, as this provides passive healing pending calories, all the way up to maximum health.
The Hazmat Plushy resembles a cartoonish seated Rust player adorned in a default hazmat, presumably smile-squinting beneath its cracked mask, feet apart, and arms akimbo. Much like the Pookie Bear, one almost inherently wants to hug it.
Picking up and placing this item requires building privilege, but does NOT damage the item. It may be destroyed through any form of damaging mechanic and will break after a few hits.
A Note About Redemption Codes
Redemption codes for this in-game item will be sent out AFTER the physical item has been shipped, according to Youtooz. The figurines are slated to ship during the April 1 – April 30 2025 window, so once you’ve received notification that your figurine has shipped, you should receive your redemption code shortly after.
How to obtain the Hazmat Plushy in RUST
There are only 2 ways to obtain this item. One requires the purchase of a real-world item and redeeming a code to craft in-game, while the other is available exclusively to Server Admins:
- Obtain a redemption code as listed above and craft.
- Spawn the item with administrative privilege via the F1 menu under Items.
How to place a Hazmat Plushy
No base is quite complete without an adequate amount of ritz and comfort. That being said, follow the steps below:
- Ensure that you are in a position where you have Building Privileges.
- With the item in your hot bar, select the Hazmat Plushy and place it in a quiet, cozy place in your base where comfort is required.
- With a Hammer in hand and adequate building privilege, hold the E key to pick this item up.
- Picking up any player-placed platform that a Hazmat Plushy is sitting on will result in the destruction of said plushy.
