Frontier Horseshoe Single Item Rack

The Frontier Horseshoe Single Item Rack is a craftable, deployable, quick-access weapon rack item in RUST with a decorative frontier look. The primary function of this item is to act as a quick-access mounting plate for a single-player weapon or tool of adequate size to fit into, such as over a mantle or next to a doorway.

They were added to the game as part of the Base Decor Pack: Frontier in November 2023, after the initial Weapon Rack DLC. The frontier line of racks is more decorative but less functional iterations of the same system.

This particular rack is displayed as a green metal bracketing system or half a stop sign post bolted to the wall. It is further adorned with two outward-hanging horseshoes attached to the bracket with spun threading wire.

How to get the Frontier Horseshoe Single Item Rack

The Frontier Horseshoe Single Item Rack is a DLC-exclusive blueprint that is available only to those who purchase the Base Decor Pack: Frontier from the RUST Item Store. It will appear in your crafting list after purchasing it.

• It doesn’t appear on the tech tree and cannot be researched
• It doesn’t drop from crates or NPCs as loot
• It does require a Workbench Level 1 to craft

How to use the Frontier Horseshoe Single Item Rack

Players may deploy any Frontier Horseshoe Single Item Rack decoration on wall structures in buildings with building privileges.  As a byproduct of this open storage racking method, locks may not be placed to safeguard your displayed tool or weapon, and anyone, regardless of privilege, may take the item.

Holding the E key while looking at a Frontier Horseshoe Single Item Rack will bring up the wheel menu with the following options:

• Mount – quick-place an item on the rack
  • E – mounts the item
• Take – Remove this particular item.
• Take All – Redundant coding left in, but will still remove the only item
• #Load the ammo – Load a particular ammunition type into a displayed weapon. This feature can load any ammo within the player’s inventory.
• Unload Ammo – Remove whatever ammunition is currently loaded instantly.
