Fabric Beanbag Seat

Overview

The Fabric Beanbag Seat is a cosmetic skin for the Chair in RUST, introduced with the September 2025 update as part of the Exhibit Decor Pack. While it doesn’t alter gameplay mechanics, it gives the Chair a stylish beanbag appearance, adding more variety for décor and roleplay-focused players.

As a skin, the Fabric Beanbag Seat retains all the functionality of the base Chair, including comfort bonuses, crafting rules, and durability. The main difference lies in its visual design, which swaps the wooden chair model for a padded beanbag seat made of a variety of fabrics stitched together.

This skin offers no competitive advantages but enhances base aesthetics, especially in roleplay or themed builds. There is also a Leather Beanbag Seat that is part of this pack.

How to Acquire the Fabric Beanbag Seat

• DLC Requirement: Only available to users who purchase the Exhibit Decor Pack from the Steam Store.
• Research Cost: Cannot be researched.
• Blueprint Availability: Cannot be blueprinted.
• Crafting Requirements: N/A
• Workbench Level: N/A

To Create the Fabric Beanbag Seat:

• Your Steam account must have the Exhibit Decor Pack enabled.
• Ensure you have a Chair in inventory
• Stand near a Repair Bench and open its menu
• Insert the Chair
• Select the “Fabric Beanbag Seat” skin below
• Click on its icon to create the skin

Using the Fabric Beanbag Seat

• Deployment:
  • Deploys anywhere a standard Chair can be placed.
  • Replaces the model with the beanbag seat skin.
• Comfort & Effects:
  • Sitting in the beanbag (as with any Chair) grants:
    • 100% comfort
    • Faster health regeneration
    • Slower food and water consumption
• Durability:
  • 100 Hit Points
  • Same as the Chair (tiny health pool, easily destroyed with melee or explosives).
• Additional Notes:
  • It cannot be used as an effective barricade due to low HP.
  • Primarily used for comfort boosts and roleplay value.
