Electrical Branch
The RUST Electrical Branch is a deployable electricity splitting tool, part of RUST’s electrical system, and is primarily used to branch a set amount of power from a powerline. Facepunch added electricity components in the Electric Anniversary update on the 7th of December, 2018.
Players may deploy electrical branches on most surfaces and use a Wiring Tool to connect to its Branch Out, Power In, and Power Out ports. The electrical branches require 1 power (each) to run and may be used to more efficiently divert specific amounts of power to linked components.
There is a toggle setting that you can change by viewing this component while deployed. You may SET a numerical value between 1 and infinite from this screen. This numerical representation is the amount of power that will be forced through the Branch Out port. All redundant power leftover from the Power In source will be diverted through Power Out, where applicable.
Electrical branches are useful for splitting up a single Large Rechargeable Battery power source into multiple zones.
Players may find electrical branches in an assortment of low-to-mid-tier crates and drops from various scientists. Players may also research them or invest scrap into the Tier 1 Workbench tech tree.
