Electric Table Lamp

Overview

The Electric Table Lamp is a deployable lighting item in RUST, added with the September 2025 update as part of the Exhibit Decor Pack. It functions almost identically to the traditional Lantern but uses electric power instead of Low Grade Fuel, offering a more sustainable option for base lighting.

Designed as a tabletop or shelf-mounted light, the Electric Table Lamp is slightly larger than the Lantern and can be placed on most flat player-built surfaces. Its primary advantage is that it integrates with RUST’s electrical system, requiring a steady flow of power rather than consumable fuel.

This makes it especially appealing for bases already running electrical grids or for players who want a permanent light source without ongoing fuel costs.

How to Acquire the Electric Table Lamp

• DLC Requirement: Only available to users who purchase the Exhibit Decor Pack from the Steam Store.
• Research Cost: Cannot be researched.
• Blueprint Availability: Cannot be blueprinted.
• Crafting Requirements: 50 Metal Fragments
• Workbench Level: Requires a Workbench Level 1 or greater to craft.

To Craft the Electric Table Lamp:

• Your Steam account must have the Exhibit Decor Pack enabled.
• Ensure you have 50 Metal Fragments in inventory
• Stand near a Workbench Level 1 or greater
• Press the Tab button in-game to open the crafting menu
• Type “Electric Table Lamp” in the search bar
• Click on its icon, then click the “Craft” button

Usage & Mechanics

• Deployment:
  • Can be deployed on most flat player-built surfaces (tables, shelves, foundations).
  • It is slightly more restrictive than the Lantern due to its larger size.
