Digital Clock
The Digital Clock is a deployable electrical device added in RUST’s September 2024 update. This item allows players to see the current game time.
Players may deploy digital clocks on most vertical surfaces (in which they have Building Privilege). They may use a Wiring Tool to connect to its single Power-In and Power-Out ports. The digital clock requires one power to function, but additional power may be required to use the power-out functions.
The purpose of this device is to allow players to see the game time as a numerical representation and act as an alarm system of sorts for whatever reason a player may need. The Power-Out feature may be attached to other auditory or light-based components to bring attention to any set alarms that might go off. Currently, the digital clock has no auditory alert that would get a player’s attention and ticks up like a typical clock would if calibrated to the RUST clock.
To set an alarm when adequate power exists, players may look at the digital clock and press E. An ALARMS menu will present itself. Players may key in any time they wish in Military format and save. If attached to an alternate electrical element with a light or sound feature, each RUST day, that device will engage briefly until the next minute ticks. There is an auditory icon at the bottom that allows for muting alarms. Only five alarms may be active on any digital clock at one time.
Players may find digital clocks in an assortment of mid-tier crates. Players may also research them or invest scrap into the Tier 2 Workbench tech tree.
