Crafting Quality Tea
Crafting Quality Tea is a consumable item that players can produce at a Mixing Table. Facepunch added teas in the Mixing Table Update on August 6, 2020, and an additional batch of crafting quality and temperature-adjusting teas will be added with the March 6, 2025 update.
With the March patch, so too came a new RUST concept; crafting items to obtain a higher quality, slotted piece. While we won’t delve into this topic too much here, be sure to check out our Introduction to Armor Slotting Guide for more information.
Drinking Crafting Quality Tea provides hydration and increases the likelihood that while crafting a given applicable armor type, it can be crafted with one, two, or hopefully three armor slots. While not guaranteed to result in three slots every time, the tea does improve your chances of getting this coveted configuration by 50% over baseline. This effect lasts 30 minutes.
In our research, we arrived at the following outcomes, with standard crafting versus using a Crafting Quality Tea
10 Hazmat Suits crafted with default settings:
- 0 Armor Slots – 0
- 1 Armor Slot – 3
- 2 Armor Slots – 1
- 3 Armor Slots – 6
10 Hazmat Suits crafted with Crafting Quality Tea:
- 0 Armor Slots – 0
- 1 Armor Slot – 1
- 2 Armor Slots – 4
- 3 Armor Slots – 5
Once brewed, you can put the tea on your hotbar for immediate consumption. While different teas of the same type do not stack buffs, you may have more than one active tea buff at a time. Again, keep in mind that if you die, you will lose all tea buffs.
Drinking Crafting Quality Tea will also alleviate a small amount of accumulated radiation, similar to drinking from any water source.
