Compass

The Compass is a handheld device in RUST, intended for use on Hardcore Mode servers to help you navigate. It’s expected to be added to the game in the August 2025 Update.

This item allows players to tell where they are headed directionally, and shows their current location on the map when equipped on the player’s hotbar. The Compass will not show your position if it’s in a player’s backpack or inventory. Even with the Compass, the map overlay will not show the direction a player is pointing.

This item is a default blueprint and may be crafted for a minimal amount of Metal Fragments.
