Clothing Mannequin
Overview
The Clothing Mannequin is a decorative and functional deployable item in RUST, to be introduced with the September 2025 Update. It acts as a display and storage solution for clothing and equipment, while also enabling quick gear swapping for players.
It deploys as a freestanding platform that can hold armor, clothing, and empty backpacks. Unlike traditional storage containers, it presents items visually on a mannequin model. Players can select from 16 preset poses, making it useful for both practical storage and decorative setups inside bases.
It is part of the Exhibit Decor Pack content bundle and is not available in vanilla RUST without the DLC purchase. The Clothing Mannequin is the first poseable decorative item in RUST with functional equipment storage.

Strategic Value
The Clothing Mannequin introduces a blend of utility and roleplay value. Having these mannequins in your base will help speed up gear swapping for players in raids, events, or quick respawns. Similar to how Lockers work, mannequins are slightly more restrictive, but also have the benefit of fitting into tighter locations.
These decorative tools will allow players to add flair to their bases, clan halls, or event servers. Being able to stage mannequins and equip them with clothing articles that are “on-theme” will be useful to many players and creators.
Additionally, these can provide visual organization for armor sets, making it easier to track what inventory is available. Lockers, currently, do not display the clothing available until they are interacted with.
Lastly, it’s essential to note the various potential PvP and meta applications these will introduce to the game, including being used as decoys for confusing enemies, raid blockades, quick gear swaps, and improved inventory management.
