The Cancer Research UK Plushie (often shortened to CR UKP) is a special cosmetic-meets-functional item introduced during RUST’s October 2025 update. Released as part of Facepunch’s partnership with Cancer Research UK, proceeds from the Steam RUST Item Store sales contribute directly to the charity.
Functionally, the CR UKP works much like the Pookie Bear, providing players with a powerful comfort aura that accelerates passive healing. Visually, it’s a small, plush pink teddy bear adorned with Cancer Research UK branding, making it both a decorative item and a symbolic piece of community support.
How to Acquire the Cancer Research UK Plushie
- In-Game Store: Purchased from the RUST Item Store during the October 2025 charity event.
- Permanent Unlock: Once claimed, the item remains available for crafting indefinitely on your account.
- Crafting: Costs a small amount of Cloth to craft.
- Workbench Requirement: None required. Can be crafted anywhere once unlocked.
To Craft the Cancer Research UK Plushie
- Ensure you have 50 Cloth in your inventory
- Press the Tab button in-game to open the crafting menu
- Type “Cancer Research UK Plushie” in the search bar
- Click on its icon, then click the “Craft” button
Usage & Functionality
- Deployment:
- Must be the active selection in your hot bar to place
- Deploys anywhere a standard deployable can be placed, as well as on shelves, workbenches, and boxes
- It can be placed indoors or outdoors.
- Requires building privilege near player bases.
- Cannot be placed within building-blocked zones around monuments.
- Durability:
- 100 Hit Points
- Vulnerable to melee, bullets, and explosives
- Subject to standard deployable decay timers when left outside of the Tool Cupboard range.
- Comfort Aura:
- Provides 70% comfort status to all players within its radius.
- Comfort triggers passive health regeneration when food and water needs are met.
