Bread Loaf

The Bread Loaf is an edible item in RUST acquired through crafting. This item must be crafted at a Cooking Workbench introduced in the Crafting Update.

On its own, the Bread Loaf serves as a simple consumable used to strengthen a player’s caloric, hydration, and health stats. When consumed, the Bread Loaf will restore 150 calories and 10 hydration and instantly heal the player by 8 health.

Though conceptualized initially for use in new Advanced Cooking Recipes, the Bread Loaf was later removed from the Apple Pie recipe and rendered exclusively as a standalone food.

Bread Loaves also have an inherent Bait value of 1 but are limited in Bait Stack size to 1, making them less than ideal for fishing.

Finally, bread loaves fed to horses grant a 2-minute Digestion buff, increasing the Outpoot… of the horse’s bodily functions by 250%. This increases the passive scrap generation of fertilizer considerably and will no doubt make these a high-demand item for farmers.
