A Bota Bag is a small water pouch that you can fill with water and use to store and carry it.
With the bota bag equipped on your hotbar, press the mouse left-click to drink and hold right-click to fill it from both salt and freshwater sources.
If you’re not near a water source, holding right-click will empty the bota bag on the ground or planters.
Some players avoid crafting the bota bag to preserve their early-game Cloth resources, particularly for Hunting Bows and other tangible equipment.
Considering the bota bag is so cheap to make, it is a tool most players should consider crafting.
Water will return some of your health up to a certain point, depending on how well-fed and rested you are.
In a pinch, you can also use a bota bag to extinguish a fire. Alternatively, it can transport water before you get your hands on a Water Jug.
Transporting water can be particularly valuable if you’re trying out farming in the early game, as you won’t have a massive area of plants to water.
