The Beach Towel is an item that Facepunch introduced in the RUST SUNBurn DLC, released on the 10th of July, 2020.
The beach towel is a replacement item for a player’s Sleeping Bag and is attached to the sleeping bag’s local cooldowns when used.
It also costs the same as a sleeping bag to produce, so its application comes down to player preferences.
It takes up a similar amount of space as a sleeping bag but does appear flattened on the floor.
There are several variations of color that can be applied when crafting or re-skinned at a Repair Bench later.
