Basic Cooling Tea

The Basic Cooling Tea is a consumable item that players can produce at a Mixing Table. Facepunch added teas in the Mixing Table Update on August 6, 2020, with an additional batch of crafting quality and temperature-adjusting teas coming with the March 6, 2025, update, with another update coming in June 2025.

Drinking cooling teas provides hydration just as all other teas do, with two temperature-related side effects, for a specified duration. In the case of the Basic Cooling Tea, these stats are as follows;

Hydration is increased by +30, while 10 °C of temperature is negated, with a Maximum temperature of 40 °C being the highest a player under the impact of this tea can reach. The duration of these effects is 20 minutes.

Basic Cooling Tea is ideal for farming, living, or raiding within the desert biome. There aren’t any negative effects associated with this tea, and allowing it to persist through night cycles will not negatively impact a player unless they become wet and neglect their clothing.

Once brewed, you can put the tea on your hotbar for immediate consumption. While different teas of the same type do not stack buffs, you may have more than one active tea buff at a time. Again, keep in mind that if you die, you will lose all tea buffs.
