The Armored Door is the most secure doorway component in RUST.
Unlike other doors, the armored door has a small hatch that players can open and close with access to the lock.
The hatch opens enough to provide limited vision and even more limited capacity to fire weapons through.
Depending on the size and scope of your base, it may not be a good idea to place an armored door as your front door. Doing this may advertise to other players that you have the resources to produce armored doors, and therefore may have more inside.
Considering the High-Quality Metal upkeep cost of armored doors, it is a good idea to limit the amount of them installed in your base.
If you intend to use the armored doors, save them for your innermost sanctum, protecting primary loot, or Tool Cupboard rooms.
There are many skins you can purchase that might obscure the fact that a door is armored. However, closer inspection will expose the door’s hatch and health, revealing its true nature to players.
