Defender RUST Bunker Base Design (2019)

Defender RUST Bunker Base Design

The Defender, RUST Bunker Base Design

This RUST base design video is brought to you by our partner xRaw.

This RUST base design utilizes features such as compact item placements, anti-door camping measures, large storage capacity and anti-raid mechanics such as un-drainable shotgun traps. The base design is cheap, compact, and strong for its size. At its core, the base design is built around a compact 2×1 base and relies on advanced base design techniques as the base is expanded.

It costs more than 90+ satchels to raid directly to the tool cupboard and well over 150 satchels to acquire all of the secured loot. The base is designed to be effective for trio groups on vanilla RUST servers.

This base also has the advantage of being easily expanded upon, as it is a “starter to main” build. This means it’s built in stages and each stage is a functional base. Players can live out of the starter portion (2×1) and expand the base in stages as and when the resources are available to do so.

Build Cost

  • Sheet Metal: 7,020
  • Stone: 26,280
  • Wood: 26,201

Upkeep Cost

  • Sheet Metal: 2,294
  • Stone: 4,666
  • Wood: 293

With that, you’re here to watch his video, enjoy!

Hey guys and welcome back to another video.

In today’s video we’re looking at a starter to main base, beginning with a 2×1 and ending with a fairly large and strong bunker base design which can be used for solos, duos, and trios upwards.

Coming over to the base we have this roof piece acting as both honeycomb and a ramp up to your door. once inside we have another door followed by access to your base and the shooting floor. The shooting floor is optional and you can build this base without it should you choose but it has a number of windows with metal window bars for base defense.

Back over to this side we have a 2nd base entrance with a door block airlock so you can check for door campers.Into the garage door here we have your base access however its blocked by 4 interlocking sheet metal roofs increasing the raid cost, as well as some shotgun traps here to protect the entrance.

To remove the bunker method simply remove the twig floors as I do here and the bunker mechanism will collapse allowing access to the base via this chute as normal.

Back into the base here we have a loot room on the right containing 4 large boxes and 6 small boxes as well as another the same on the left hand side here. This wall here is your TC so you may want to upgrade this further to HQM, although if you can afford it you may want to upgrade the entire core of your base.

Into the doors here takes you to the starter section of your base, the 2×1. this space holds 5 large boxes, 3 furnaces, your workbench, research bench and sleeping bag.

To seal up the bunker simply place twig floors as I show here, then place the roofs on top and upgrade to metal.

I do a number of base building guides on my channel so feel free to check these out, as always if you did enjoy the video be sure to leave a like and don’t forget to subscribe with notifications turned on, to catch all of my content.

The footprint of the base is simple, starting with a 2×1 and expanding outwards slightly before adding honeycomb. This base is going to cost you 7k metal, 6k wood, and 26k stone with an upkeep of 2.3k metal, 300 wood and 4.7k stone, a more detailed costing can be found in the comments.
