Renown Wins OTK Games Expo Top Prize

The medieval survival game we’ve always wanted

The open-world survival crafter Renown took top prize in OTK’s first-ever Games Expo on June 8th, 2022. The Expo showcased over 30 indie game studios who were either showcasing their games’ progress or debuting their games for viewers to see for the first time.

The OTK Games Expo allowed viewers to vote for the game that they most wanted to win the prize, and arguably, most wanted to play as soon as possible. Renown’s RDBK Studios took home the $30k prize after a loyal and enthusiastic fanbase rallied to vote them into first place.

Renown is an open-world survival game that pulls the most enjoyable aspects and features of modern survival games into a skill-based combat survival title. It’s been called “medieval RUST,” with familiar base-building, raiding, and social mechanics. Players can group up to pool resources, build castles and armaments, and raid enemy clans for renown and glory.

Players will gather resources, craft armor and weapons, and hone their combat skills. Fans of RUST will recognize the urgency to build up as powerful a castle as possible to defend against enemy clans, all while racing to create the most devastating siege weaponry available to level their enemies first.
