Lethal Company Moons Guide

An Overview of All Moons in Lethal Company

Abandoned moons are your bread and butter in Lethal Company. As you harvest scrap and attempt to make quota, you’ll spend much time running across the surface of various moons to reach their facilities and drag your loot back to the ship.

Each of the game’s moons has quirks, dangers, and a unique layout. While the interior of the facilities will change drastically with each landing, the surface of the moons will remain largely the same. Knowing what to expect when you land and how to navigate the area can be a serious boon when things go sideways in Lethal Company.

This Lethal Company Moon Guide will outline each moon, detail its associated hazards, and explain how to find its facility entrances.

 The Company Building

The Company Building Moon
  • Full Name: 71 Gordion
  • Travel Cost: 0
  • Hazard Level: Safe
  • Biome: Ocean
  • Population: Unknown
  • Conditions: No land masses. Continual storms.
  • Fauna: Unknown

Description

The massive ocean platform where the company resides and where employees return to sell their scrap. Little is known about this mysterious and ominous structure, but you’ll need to come back here at least once per quota to offload your junk.

Hazards

Though this moon is listed as “safe,” it is still quite possible for players to perish here. Monsters won’t spawn, but falling into the ocean or upsetting the company behind the counter by not following procedure may lead to an unfortunate demise.

Experimentation

41 Experimentation Main Entrance
  • Full Name: 41 Experimentation
  • Travel Cost: 0
  • Hazard Level: B
  • Biome: Desert
  • Population: Abandoned
  • Conditions: Arid. Thick haze, worsened by industrial artifacts.
  • Fauna: Dominated by a few species

Description

Generally considered the safest landing site aside from the Company Building, Experimentation is a desert-type moon whose landscape is constantly obscured by a thick dust cloud. Once used as a secret testing site for mysterious experiments, this moon has one of the simplest layouts and only really becomes dangerous if you wander too far or try to cross the perimeter fence, which is always surrounded by quicksand.

Hazards

41 Experimentation Foggy Landscape

The only real hazard this moon presents on its own is the constant haze obscuring vision outdoors. That said, this isn’t nearly as difficult to see through as the blizzards on snowy moons, and the entrances are so close to the ship that becoming lost is quite difficult.

Entrances

Main Entrance: To reach the main entrance, head straight out of the ship doors and climb one of the two ladders to the top of the concrete embankment. The doors are located in a large alcove across the railroad tracks.

41 Experimentation Fire Exit

Fire Exit: The fire exit is located in an alleyway left of the main entrance at the top of a tall fire escape.

Assurance

220 Assurance Moon
  • Full Name: 220 Assurance
  • Travel Cost: 0
  • Hazard Level: D
  • Biome: Desert
  • Population: Abandoned
  • Conditions: Jagged and weathered terrain.
  • Fauna: Ecosystem supports territorial behavior

Description

A rocky, desert-type moon dominated by large buttes that turn the landscape into a maze of narrow canyons. The counterpart to Experimentation and the progenitor to Offense, this moon can quickly become hazardous once the sun starts to set.

Hazards

Assurance is one of the two home moons for Eyeless Dogs, allowing them to spawn much earlier in the day than other monsters (as early as 1 PM). The winding paths through the narrow canyons can make the trek to and from your ship confusing but also offer numerous routes to bypass threats.

Entrances

220 Assurance Moon Main Entrance

Main Entrance: The main entrance of Assurance can be reached by heading in the opposite direction from where the ship doors are facing and to the left. Follow the canyons until you see a ladder leading to a raised alcove where the doors will be.

220 Assurance Moon Fire Exit

Fire Exit: Assurance’s fire exit is located on top of a cliff at the opposite end of the pipes leading to the main entrance.

Vow

56 Vow Moon
  • Full Name: 56 Vow
  • Travel Cost: 0
  • Hazard Level: C
  • Biome: Forest
  • Population: Abandoned
  • Conditions: Humid. Rough terrain. Teeming with plant life.
  • Fauna: A competitive ecosystem supports aggressive lifeforms.

Description

A densely forested moon that once supported numerous colonies across its surface, all of which have now gone dark and are mysteriously abandoned. The thick forests and rough terrain make traversal confusing and dangerous, especially at night or in foggy conditions.

Hazards

It’s easy to get lost here, so try not to wander. Additionally, beehives will spawn more commonly in forest biomes, and this moon is one of the two home territories of Forest Keepers, allowing them to spawn more frequently and earlier in the day than usual. Lastly, one of the two bridges leading to the entrance (the one not made from concrete) can collapse if too many or too heavy a player attempts to cross it.

Entrances

56 Vow Moon Main Entrance

Main Entrance: Vow’s main entrance is located out of the ship doors and directly to the right. Cross one of the two bridges to the other side of the ravine, and the doors will be set in the opposing wall, halfway between the two bridges.

56 Vow Moon Fire Exit

Fire Exit: Vow’s fire exit is set into the bottom foundation of the concrete dam spanning one side of the ravine, separating the ship from the main entrance. You can slide down the slope into the ravine or enter from the ramp at the end opposite the fire exit door.

Offense

21 Offense Moon
  • Full Name: 21 Offense
  • Travel Cost: 0
  • Hazard Level: B
  • Biome: Desert
  • Population: Abandoned
  • Conditions: Jagged and weathered terrain
  • Fauna: A competitive ecosystem supports aggressive lifeforms.

Description

An asteroid moon believed to have once been a part of Assurance before splintering off. Due to the apparent damage to the remaining industrial facilities, it is assumed they were constructed before this moon separated from its cousin. The landscape is similarly jagged but much more open than Assurance.

Hazards

One of the two home moons for Eyeless Dogs, it is possible for these monsters to spawn here much earlier than on other moons (as early as 1PM.) Hostile entities are more frequent and more aggressive inside the facility here, so caution is advised.

Entrances

21 Offense Moon Main Entrance

Main Entrance: To reach Offense’s main entrance, exit the ship doors, then turn around and to the right. Head towards the tall yellow scaffolding, climb the hill alongside it, or circle its base to cross over or under the truck frame at the top. A short ladder leads to a raised alcove where the main entrance resides.

21 Offense Moon Fire Exit

Fire Exit: Offense’s fire exit sits on a cliff next to a pair of water towers past the hill where the main entrance is. This cliff is only reachable by using an Extension Ladder to cross from the hill next to the main entrance onto a raised section of pipes. From there, head to the water towers and jump the railing to the cliff.

March

61 March Moon
  • Full Name: 61 March
  • Travel Cost: 0
  • Hazard Level: B
  • Biome: Forest
  • Population: Abandoned
  • Conditions: Expansive. Constant rain.
  • Fauna: Diverse

Description

Twin to Vow, March is a densely wooded moon with an expansive surface area. March is unique in that it sports multiple fire exits and one of the largest explorable zones of any moon. Just don’t get lost wandering the woods after dark, as it’s easy to fall victim to megafauna or drown in one of the many craters.

Hazards

Wide forests make it easy to get lost, and blind cliffs often claim the lives of unwary explorers who fall into the water-filled craters and drown. As one of the two home moons for Forest Keepers, they will spawn more frequently and earlier in the day here than on other moons. Circuit Bee hives will also appear more commonly in this environment.

Entrances

61 March Moon Main Entrance

Main Entrance: To reach March’s main entrance, keep straight after exiting the ship. Make sure to follow the rim of the crater between the ship and the entrance to the right, or you will fall in and drown. Staying on the right side of this crater is the fastest route, and you should see the lights of the entrance hangar from the ship.

61 March Moon Fire Exit 1

Fire Exit 1: To reach March’s first fire exit, follow the left rim of the crater outside the ship doors instead of the right and look for a concrete structure down in a gully. The fire exit will be on this structure.

61 March Moon Fire Exit 2

Fire Exit 2: March’s second fire exit is off to the left after exiting the ship. Look for a concrete structure on an incline. The door will be on the opposite side of the structure from the ship.

61 March Moon Fire Exit 3

Fire Exit 3: March’s third fire exit is in the opposite direction of the main entrance. So, turn around after leaving the ship and head straight through the hills there. You should see the concrete bunker and the fire exit above you soon enough.

Rend

85 Rend Moon
  • Full Name: 85 Rend
  • Travel Cost: 550
  • Hazard Level: A
  • Biome: Tundra
  • Population: None
  • Conditions: Frozen, rocky. Its planet orbits a white dwarf star.
  • Fauna: Unlikely for complex life to exist.

Description

One of the two “Mansion” moons, Rend is a dangerous frozen moon constantly obscured by a snowstorm. This snowstorm dampens sound and makes it extremely difficult to navigate without the assistance of the lighted tether poles between the ship and the facility. Though this moon carries much more valuable loot than free moons, it is also stalked by high-risk entities and leaves players vulnerable when outdoors.

Hazards

Blinding snow storms make it nearly impossible to see where you are going, making it very easy to get lost and disoriented outside. While these storms reduce player vision and hearing, it does not seem to affect the senses of hostile entities. High-risk entities such as Jesters can spawn inside the facility, greatly increasing the level of potential danger from lower-cost moons.

Entrances

85 Rend Moon Main Entrance

Main Entrance: To reach Rend’s main entrance, simply follow the illuminated tether poles away from the ship until you reach a wall, then follow that wall to the left.

85 Rend Moon Fire Exit

Fire Exit: Head straight out of the ship doors until you come to a mountain on your right and a crater on your left. Follow the curve of these two features in a counterclockwise circle until you see a lone tether pole in the snow. When you find this light pole, drop down into the crater on your left, and you should see the half-buried fire exit nearby.

Dine

7 Dine Moon
  • Full Name: 7 Dine
  • Travel Cost: 600
  • Hazard Level: S
  • Biome: Tundra
  • Population: None
  • Conditions: Frozen, Rocky. Its planet orbits a white dwarf star.
  • Fauna: Unlikely for complex life to exist.

Description

One of the two “Mansion” moons and notable only in that it features a large number of disappearances from veteran explorers. A severe blizzard constantly obscures the harsh landscape and is extremely hazardous to traverse. If that wasn’t enough, the facility interior hosts numerous aggressive entities not present on less dangerous moons. If you make it out alive, you might score some seriously valuable scrap.

Hazards

Constant blizzards make navigation nearly impossible without aid, meaning you are extremely likely to get lost if you wander. Minimal cover means anything stalking the illuminated path between the ship and entrance is very likely to take notice of you. Hostile entities are frequent inside the facility and include high-risk varieties not seen on lesser moons.

Entrances

7 Dine Moon Main Entrance

Main Entrance: To reach Dine’s main entrance, follow the lighted tethers on the opposite side of the ship from the doors. When you reach the end, turn left and follow the wall until you reach a concrete platform where the doors will be. Be careful not to overshoot, however, as you can fall off the platform and will have to circle around a hill in the blinding snow if you do.

7 Dine Moon Fire Exit

Fire Exit: To reach Dine’s fire exit, leave the ship and turn left. From there, keep straight until you reach a steep cliff with a concrete structure at the top. You will need an Extension Ladder to climb this cliff and reach the fire exit door. Note that the fire exit can be easily seen from the ship while it is descending to the moon’s surface.

Titan

8 Titan Moon
  • Full Name: 8 Titan
  • Travel Cost: 700
  • Hazard Level: S+
  • Biome: Tundra
  • Population: None
  • Conditions: Frozen, rocky. This moon was mined for resources. It’s easy to get lost here.
  • Fauna: Dangerous entities have been rumored to take residence in the vast network of tunnels.

Description

The most dangerous and potentially rewarding moon in Lethal Company. The surface of this place is dominated by a single, massive facility towering above the landing site and a flat, seemingly endless tundra in all directions. Getting to and from the facility is pretty simple, but the real nightmare begins inside. Interiors will be massive, sprawling, and very confusing.

In addition to the constant threat of getting lost, players will have to contend with a host of extremely hostile entities at all times. We aren’t exaggerating when we say it’s common for players to be attacked by three separate kinds of high-risk entities simultaneously moments after entering the complex. Make sure you know what you’re doing.

Hazards

Falling from the high scaffolding can kill or injure players. Interiors are confusing and easy to get lost in. Any entity capable of fitting into a corridor can spawn inside the facility, even those that typically only spawn outdoors. High-risk entities are abundant and extremely aggressive.

Entrances

8 Titan Moon Main Entrance

Main Entrance: To reach Titan’s main entrance, go straight out of the ship and climb the scaffolding to the top, then turn to the right to see the doors.

8 Titan Moon Fire Exit

Fire Exit: Titan’s fire exit is located down a short catwalk to the left of the main entrance. This door can also be reached via a second set of stairs and ladders to the left of the main one.
