As a member of the Machine Gun weapon class, the M60 scales in power with the player’s Fortitude attribute and the Machine Gunner perk.

The M60 is an extremely versatile weapon that can be adapted to a variety of uses. Try experimenting with different modifications for use in different scenarios. Reflex sights, foregrips, and laser sights are perfect for indoor and close-quarters combat. Try attaching magazine extensions and scopes for base defense, as you are more likely to be fighting from a distance and will need the extra ammo.

This weapon’s high-capacity magazine offers even greater benefits from magazine mods, allowing for over 100 rounds in a single magazine when fitted with a drum mod.

Though designed for sustained fire, the surprising accuracy of this weapon makes it useful for single shots at range as well. At long range, focus on firing off one round at a time for max accuracy, and switch to short bursts at mid-range.

After firing continuously for a few seconds, the M60 will start to drastically decrease in accuracy and increase in recoil. This can be mitigated by using controlled bursts or attaching foregrips, bipods, and laser sights.

Try to avoid firing this weapon from the hip, as it will rapidly lose accuracy and become ineffective at range. The exception to this rule is in close quarters when facing off against crowds, as the spray pattern can slow down and cripple approaching enemies.

Final thoughts on the M60 Machine Gun

This devastating lead-spitter is a real marvel of engineering, and it’s even more impressive that players with the proper skill can construct one from scrap. Of all the weapons The Fun Pimps included in this title, the M60 is easily one of the most powerful and versatile overall.
